This map was intended to show the British and Spanish Dominions in North America as agreed to by the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The Treaty has been reproduced on the map. The Atlas containing this map was produced by Thomas Jefferys, Geographer to King George III. It includes facts about the solar system, seasons and even a map of the moon. It was drawn by Samuel Dunn, a mathematician and mapmaker in London who was known for the precision of his drawings. |
